Site Migration

I’ve moved the site off of my home server onto a site hosted by WordPress.com. This means that I don’t have to worry about patching the  software and it also means that the site should be more secure.

Enjoy!

Wow…the work you must have gone to pulling all this info together !! I am related by being the greatgrandson of Malinda//Matilda Josephine Keith/Nail married to C.C. ( Charles Columbus ) Nail on Sept 14 , 1892 in Comanche Cty., Tx. They appear in the Comanche Cty 1910 census with a list of their kids.
My Gramma was their firstborn , Mamie E (Ethel/Emma ??)Nail who married John Samuel Faulk, produced Hazel Lois Faulk/Vessels and she produced (with help from Herschel) me, Jimmy L. Vessels b.7/10/1942.

I remember Larry Keith had a personal file that was much more updated than the book, and I, for some reason, thought he kept it updated on the old site. Am I incorrect in remembering this? If so, does his personal file exist somewhere where it can be maintained and updated, perhaps even released as an updated run of Keith genealogy books?

Our intent has been to gather the various pieces of information we have, update the files and release a digital eBook. However, Larry’s information was not quite so simple as a single personal file – there are many different places where the information was being stored. Life gets in the way, and we have not been able to find the time to make this happen yet.

Thank you for the reply. I certainly understand about life. I have a very active four-year-old who keeps me busy either working to keep the lights on and food on the table, or participating in helping at her school. My genealogy activity is spotty at best these days.

Since Worldfamilies is no longer around could someone update your site to say that the Keith DNA Project is now housed on FTDNA? If you are willing see link below. I am one of the administrators of the Keith DNA Project.

I added a link to the DNA project in the “Research” links section at the top. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I apologize for the delay – we were in the middle of a move.

Did a digital file ever come to fruition? I have the book somewhere and am just now getting started on a tree. I’m Brown (155). I could start from scratch, but prefer not to reinvent the wheel if not required.

I am a descendant of Cora Elizabeth Keith 2871-1930 daughter of John Francis Keith.

I am just interested and wanted to post my information in case anyone wanted to compare notes and stories
